It’s been a week and half since our family began the Bible in 90 Days Plan and this challenge has certainly been challenging (I am actually a bit behind my own reading) but definitely it has also been very enlightening.

We’ve done a lot of stuff for our study of Genesis and here is the first and most elaborate one so far:

Activity 1: Creation Story: Philippine Style

We originally used this materials for our “Linggo ng Wika” coop activity and we reviewed them again since part of them were from a coop friend’s lessons (he’s in first grade while Allyra is still in K2). Basically, it’s a Filipino version or adaptation of the story of creation. The main material used is felt. I printed the pictures used on sticker photo paper and also backed them up with felt. So we ended up with a giant felt board activity for “The Story of Creation: Pinoy Style.”

Memory Verse: Awit 24:1 “Ang buong daigdig at ang lahat ng naroon, ang may-ari’y si Yahweh na ating Panginoon.”

These were our pics during the Linggo ng Wika Activity:

Some possible points of integration to other topics / learning areas include the following:

Indeed, our memory verse says it clearly: “The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” – Psalm 24:1

All praise and worship belongs to the God who created everything so magnificently and majestically, including our beloved country, the Philippines!

May His name be praised throughout all the ends of the earth. Hallelujah to the LORD!
